NSCDC shines as Jonathan splashes over N300m on athletes, officials The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Sports team showed supremacy over their counterparts from across the country, this was confirmed on Wednesday when Jonathan announced the cash rewards at a reception in honour of the 351 sports men and women at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Among the athletes were those who participated in the African Senior Athletics Championships in Marrakech, Morocco, and the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. It was stated that, “there is no doubt that NSCDC is a force to reckon with when it comes to sport in Nigeria. NSCDC Boss Ade Abolurin also honored the team on Thursday at the Corps Headqaurters in Abuja to venerate the gesture of Mr. President. Abolurin stated that, the Corps will keep encouraging the talent hunt especially among the youths so as to discover more and prepare them for the future.
