National conference--- Part TWO Only in Nigeria will you ask people to converge to discuss national issue, and money will be the fundamental pillars of the delegates, in my country sitting to discuss national issue by delegates for 7 hours per day cost 135,000 naira, and this delegates are sitting for three months amounting to 14million naira, then plus feeding and accommodation allowance about 4million naira, yet our government cannot fund education, bad road, we have crude oil yet no functional refinery, the citizens are ask to pay for everything they use from their pocket at a high price, a country where you pay exorbitantly for schooling and yet no hope of securing a job after graduation, in a government parastatal where 100 jobs vacancy is available, the heartless government will defraud the citizens by selling more than a million form even from the citizens peanut pocket what a shame, the Nigeria government behaves like the biblical story of a rich man having several cattle and has a poor neighbor who own only one and cherished cattle, when the rich man has visitor, he went ahead to the poor man house and took his one and only cattle slaughter it to entertain the guest, that is the character that the Nigeria government has inhabited. Delegates place religion above national issue, we claim to be religious, yet we are most corrupt nation, why then do we call ourselves a religious nation, to me we are only hypocrites of religion, we take everything to the extreme. Our delegates are after the huge amount of money invested in the national conference which the ordinary Nigerians is still seeing as a waste, some delegates are calling for allowances for their aide, most of our people behave stupidly at times, what is the use of aide in a national conference? Just like I said in my other article most of the delegates sees it as a money making venture where it is an opportunity to share in the national cake, they dont see it as an opportunity to make positive impact in the falling country, the clamour by the delegates that their aide should be given allowance justify my assertion of the former, it is a pity with the way we are heading.
