Necromancy Necromancy is communication with the dead, or raising and controlling their spirits. It is the darkest of the black arts and very dangerous . The sorcerer must have a pact with the devil and may be possessed by the astral spirit. The act of necromancy is so dangerous that it must be performed within concentric circles drawn on the ground , within symbols, inscribed crosses on consecrated ground. The magician and assistant must stand in the middle protected by the holy names from danger. To evoke the dead, a magician needs help from powerful spirits to compel the corpse to submit to his demands. Once the dead submit and all questions of future events are answered, the dead vanish into a cloud of sulfur. The sorcerers are not allowed to leave the circle until all spirits have been dismissed and leave. The sorcerer who leaves the circle too soon may damage his soul and risks death and or permanent possession. Is the Ouija board a form of necromancy??
