Need prayers for my sweet Rylee Claire! On Monday she saw Dr. Sheppard an endocrinologist. Her test results indicated she has Metabolic Syndrome. Metabolic syndrome is a group of risk factors -- high blood pressure, high blood sugar, high triglycerides, low HDL cholesterol, and belly fat that increases risk of heart disease and diabetes. Her main threat right now is diabetes and fatty liver disease along with high cholesterol. Her genetic makeup plays a huge roll along with her environment. We have had to make some huge but healthy life changes for her! As a matter of fact the entire family is doing this with her! As a parent I have failed her by not teaching her healthy habits! I can not say enough about the importance of teaching and policing EVERY THING your children eat! We are making gradual changes to this new life style. Its not going to be easy but we will do it and succeed! Please just lift her up in prayer to be strong! She is also dealing with her allgeries and asthma. She is having a major flair up today!!! So its off to our 4th appointment for the week! If anyone has any healthy recipies or snacks they would like to share with us, please, feel free too! Thank you so much!
