Nepal Day 2 After a restless night due to the relentless - TopicsExpress

Nepal Day 2 After a restless night due to the relentless barking dogs, we woke up incredibly early for a flight over Mt Everest and the Himalayas. The mountains stretched so much further than I could have imagined it was an awesome and a beautiful sight. Despite the vast remoteness there were numerous villages scattered over the mountainsides. On the return flight Peter and I eagerly motioned that we’d love to climb Mt Everest someday. We returned to the guesthouse where we presented the teaches with slippers, T-shirts and pencil cases (filled with teaching supplies) which we had packaged last night. The teachers appreciated our Colin Buchanan-inspired “Who’s The King of The Jungle” and enjoyed receiving their gifts. Paster Raju strongly urged us to attend a concert that afternoon, so, after a look through the streets and lunch at the G-cafe we headed to the concert at the church. The concert was great! Even though it was almost entirely run in Nepalese, the feel and the passion of the place was unbelievable. We became very involved with the crowd adding enthusiasm through our cheers and whistling. Outside the main hall we met Simon who showed us some smooth dance moves, after which we headed off back to the guesthouse. We went out for dinner at Road House where we enjoyed delicious food and a good conversation before returning to the guesthouse for our daily devotion. Mr Judge led the continued message on Joseph and the ability to get through tough times assisted with God’s help and assurance. We prepared for tomorrow’s work in the school choosing books to read and songs to read with the kids. The day’s been full on, exciting and packed with amazing memories. Michael Benson 😉
