New Career Opportunity: Insurance Financial Specialist; Ft. Worth REPORTS TO: Bariatric Office Manager JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for obtaining and processing insurance benefit information-referrals/ pre-certifications, authorizations, and approvals; must have knowledge of third-party payer policies and benefits; discuss insurance requirements and various financing options; verify all accounts and co-pays, deductibles, out of pockets and amounts. Submit and follow-up with Insurance companies and organize approvals and denials. Collects and updates patient information; establish charts, and scan information into EMR; and assist with areas of marketing. Must have excellent communication skills (written and oral) and fluent in verbal/written English skills (bilingual an advantage); strong organization skills with attention to detail; articulate verbal communication, with empathetic customer service skills; triage calls calmly and professionally; have fundamental computer operations and knowledge of electronic record software; operate basic office equipment; motivated and works well independently, and perform mathematical tasks. REQUIREMENTS: 1) High School Diploma or GED preferred 2) CPR Certified 3) One year insurance verification experience required 4) Preferred 1 year experience working in a medical office setting.
