Accountabilities: *Shared responsibility for delivering architecture, code and processes to deploy the companys proprietary software products *Design, develop and deliver proprietary software, deployment modules, APIs and associated documentation *Investigate and introduce new technologies, architectures and APIs to improve the companys current IT systems *Assisting the Manager, Information Technology in the implementation of the IT Strategy and identifying IT solutions in support of the work of the operation of the business and for the further development *Assisting the Manager, Information Technology with the ongoing development of the businesses Market Data Management Services (MDMS), including systems and procedures, preparation of reports, creation of operating manuals, filing and supervision of staff that have responsibility for any aspect of the MDMS Person Specification: Essential: *5 years plus programming experience in a high level object based language such as Java, C#, C++, Delphi etc *Demonstrate well developed communication skills both written and verbal *Highly accurate with good attention to detail *Analytical and numerate *Good problem solving skills *Capable of demonstrating good time management *Applicants should demonstrate a flexible, highly motivated and proactive approach to their work Applicants should be in possession of a valid right to work document and be legally qualified to reside in Guernsey.
