[New Resources] ODC has just published a new public information resource detailing the Cambodian Energy Sector in two languages, Khmer and English. This page aims to provide solid factual background and analytic insight into the current state of Cambodia’s energy sector as well as its challenges and prospects for the future. The page can be accessed via: opendevcam.net/briefing/the-cambodian-energy-sector/ The page simplifies the information in comprehensive ways by visualizing key data, such as disproportionate power consumption in Phnom Penh versus rural areas, electricity supply trends over a decade, and comparison of gasoline prices in the Lower Mekong Region. The briefing includes a map of Cambodia’s national electricity grid infrastructure, energy imports, energy consumption and hydroelectric facilities to form a detailed overview of the sector.
