New York, Oct 10: Expressing concern over the escalation of violence along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon Friday called for dialogue between India and Pakistan to resolve their differences. In a statement, which his associate spokesperson Vannina Maestracci read out to reporters, Ban said that he is concerned about the recent escalation of violence along the LoC between India and Pakistan and that he deplores the loss of lives and the displacement of civilians on both sides. Maestracci said: The secretary- general encourages the governments of India and Pakistan to resolve all differences through dialogue and to engage constructively to find a long-term solution for peace and stability in Kashmir.
