New class added for the 2014/15 indoor oval season. Knowing I need this style of car running here at Teas the whole package has turned into a strong effort for specs that can be used anywhere that a track or series whats to add this style of car on a platform that promotes strong structure in its outline and the racing results will be fantastic. The motor and ESC is left for tracks to choose a spec system or Roar equipment in the language and I highly recommend places using 13.5T. Teas will be running Roar approved Blinky (non-timming) ESC and 13.5T Roar Approved motors. RC 1/10 scale Midwest Foam Tire Modified Chassis specs: Car width: 9.5 max Wheelbase: 11.75”-12.25” Battery location: Right side of battery must be on centerline of car. Transmission: Molded 3 gear transmission case only. (No machined cases or Direct Drives). Arms: Arms must be non-adjustable molded plastic, composite and or machined plastic. Arms must be the same length from side to side. No offsetting of arms is allowed. Hub Carriers: Only non-adjustable rear hub carriers are allowed and they must be zero degree hubs. Rear Toe: Rear toe is only to be adjustable via toe blocks. Toe is limited from 0-3 degrees in. Toe out or split of any kind is not permitted. Front Suspension Mounts: No Off Set Bulkheads or Off setting of suspension mounts. They must be equal distance apart from centerline of the chassis. Bulkheads and Suspension mounts may be as narrow or as wide as you want but car must maintain a max width of 9.5”. Driveline: Steel Outdrives, Steel CVD kits only. No lightweight parts and no cut gears. Chassis requirements: Chassis can be made from Fiberglass or Carbon Fiber. The max width of the chassis at any point is 5”. Pockets/cutouts in the chassis to put machined weights ect in chassis is not allowed. Min Weight: 65oz (Any additional weight added to top of chassis) Tires: BSR Spec foam tires. (Fronts: C1017S Rears: C1018S) Electronic locations: Motor must be mounted in standard location. ESC and receiver must be mounted to the right side of the battery. Servo may be mounted anywhere on the front half of the chassis. Body: Spec Bodies: Sippel Speed Shop’s Part #FT-MWM AFX Fab Part #F-01 From the bottom of the chassis, front of deck 3”min-3.5 max, rear deck 3.5”min-4”max. Deck must measure the same on both sides of car. Tilting the deck is not allowed. From center of rear axle to rear quarter panel 5”min-5.5”max. Front bumper: Must use bumpers supplied with body kits. Motor and ESC is up to track or series. They may choose to spec these or use ROAR approved equipment. Using at least a 13.5 motor is highly advised. This class is intended to promote good racing and not be wide open racing.
