News just in : Two IT engineers drown off Baga beach Two IT engineers, Ravi Ranjan Mishra, 24 and Paresh Shandelia, 28, drowned off Baga beach Saturday evening. Hailing from Bihar, Mishra was a software engineer while Paresh was a zonal manager of a IT firm in Bangalore They were part of a six-member group of friends who had come for a short holiday to Goa. Some of them had come from Mumbai and Pune, sources said. The police said that they went into the water late evening. They were having a nice time until two of them who had gone quite far, found themselves struggling in the water. Before an alarm could be raised, Mishra and Paresh were in deep trouble. The police said that they were earlier asked by the lifeguards not to venture into the water as it was late and also because the sea was rough. The police,on getting the information, alerted the Indian coast guard and their boat reached tried to look out for the bodies. PSI Diviyani Naik who is inquiry officer said that one body was recovered at 8.30 pm while the other at 11 pm. The bodies were later sent to morgue at Goa medical college hospital in Bambolim.
