News started to trickle regarding the Kerry agreement. Both the Guardian and Yediot Ahronot are reporting that: 1. The agreement as it stands is for preliminary talks - that is talks to lay the ground for negotiations. 2. There is no Israeli commitment on the pre-1967 borders as a basis for talks. 3. No halt to settlement construction. 4. Israel will release a small number of Palestinian prisoners in stages as the negotiations (not the preliminary talks) progress. 5. That the Palestinian side will lay its demands including that the pre-1967 borders be the basis for negotiations during the preliminary talks.
