No default. They came up with a compromise to kick the can down the road once more. What a shock! I predict we will still not have a budget when Obama leaves office. Gridlock. Each side blames and demonizes the other. What weve been missing is leadership. A President is supposed to be President of Republicans and Democrats alike, build trust and relationships especially with Congress, and bring legislators together to negotiate, compromise and develop consensus to move forward. Its been well noted even by supporters that this President is not comfortable in that role. And he came to office with zero governing experience and didnt surround himself with folks that would help him do it. It is what it is and nothing will change at this point. I just hope the bitterness that keeps getting worse doesnt carry over to the next presidency regardless whether its a Democrat or Republican.
