Yahya Jammeh in showcasing his usual ignorance told the UN General Assembly yesterday to consider of including more African countries in the UN Security Council or transfer the decision making of the UN to its General Assembly. Well fair enough Africa should be fairly represented at the level of the Security Council but does the dictator know that as of data published from 1990-2010, United States single handedly contribute 22% to the UN budget, followed by Japan (12.5%), Germany (8.1%), UK (6.6%) and France (6.1%). In sharp contrast countries like ours are in huge arrears. If we want fair share in decision making process then we must at least be in compliance of meeting our payment obligations to the budget. Remember in the UN a country is not considered to be arrears as long as a member pay 50% towards to their annual budget. That aside how can the monster be calling for equal treatment when he is denying opposition in The Gambia equal rights to have access to state owned media. Practice what you preach Mr Baboon Mansa. African nations have to put their houses in order first before constantly ranting or complaining about the West.
