Nocturnal Cenotaph Early morning caught between daylight and nocturnal vision Shadows that return to midnight ... Out my window lay a vast wasteland of shattered dreams Heaps of shard lay upon the tortured Earth where I walk my uncertain path Eye in the sky surveillance and evil tides Creeping behind the walls a slithery sloth awakening Crawling beneath the shadows where you lay A voice breaks the silence it is me repressing a scream Something cold moves about and throughout in a land barred by fences Shadows cluster in the cold distance awaiting the sundown A bright light we call the Sun Blinding radiation attempting to see all I cannot remember Something is burning inside embracing the Universe requesting an answer
