Normally my accountant would tell me I can’t make up how much I’ve spent on stuff and expect the ATO to pay out, but I reckon that rule will be relaxed this year. After all, if the Liberal Government doesn’t have to answer questions about what it’s doing with boat people, or why Peter Slipper can’t take a taxi to a winery but George Brandis can take a plane to a wedding, then I don’t reckon they’ll ask me to show any receipts.
