Northern Governors Should Reposition Their States Security Challenges. If the Northern Governors cannot justify the security votes money accrued from the Federation account to check-mate the spate of insecurity in the region then the money is not justifiable. It is a reckless waste. I am of the opinion that such should be stopped and the entire organs of security unit should be paid to do the job. It is a lip service to the nation at the expense of innocent children. If not, how can a state Governor who canvassed round the state for votes and won election into office suddenly become a stranger and fail to checkmate the excesses of his perceived subject. I smell conspiracy! How can an elected Governor who doubled as the Chief Security Officer of a State better justify the huge money taken from the Federation account in the name of security votes yet could not judiciously give account of it? Late Alhaji Lateef Adedibu once said that such money is not accounted for. He put it thus “security vote is money you spend anyhow”. The type of energy sapped and resources used to stop Jonathan’s second term bid towards 2015 if that kind of rapid response is given towards the region insecurity, there will be nothing like Boko Haram senseless killing by now. The situation is so pathetic that the Northern Governors are not really busy in office inspite of the regional security challenges but keen in Jonathan’s job. It shows they are absolutely unserious minded people. Why do you look at the speck in your brothers eyes and forget about the logs in your own eyes? They should put there region in order because someday the fool shall be wise, If not wise already. ‘Obo kan kosi ni idanre, obo to wa nibe ti gbon o ti n lo Hummer jeep’ meaning the unwise man in the jungle is now intelligent. I am of the opinion that they take on the challenge in the region and put a stop to this killing and conspiracy.
