Not a fan of a military guy who comes up to me upset about a friends costume. I somewhat agree they should not wear something representing the military unless theyve earned it but its a costume. Im sure youve dressed up as a soldier etc.. Atleast once or twice in your life time growing up. Thats like telling our children to not dress up as commando cause they are 7 yrs old and havent proved a thing in life. Why get mad over a civilian as you called him whom idolizes what our troops have done, confining him to wear nothing of the sort when your fighting for freedom, the freedom to live a life without scrutiny of exactly what your doing. Halloween is the one night we can be who we wish to be. A hero, a villain, or someone in between, take it with a grain of salt but dont pull me aside after he has left and tell me to tell him what you think he should wear or not wear. Im not a messenger nor his mother so that conversation we had went nowhere.. My respect for the military goes beyond the short 2 years youve put in so far, its been my entire life growing up. Dont try and disrespect civilians for idolizing you, we dress like you because its our one night to feel like a hero and appreciate the time, effort, and sacrifice youve made for us.. Nobody would dress like you if we hated you so appreciate the appreciation and dont lecture me on a situation we both have no control over. Ok Im done venting.. Happy Halloween
