Notes: Understanding the Power of the Tongue What you say is what you have! The sum of where you are today, good or bad, is the sum of what you have been saying. According to scripture, Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV) 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. The righteous shall live by faith, and faith should grow and grow and grow. The measure of faith given to you by God is big enough to move mountains. Yet we all must continually develop in faith. According to scripture, Romans 1:17 (NKJV) 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Faith is important. Do not let anyone or anything deceive you. Faith is the substance (the manifestation, the title deed, the realization, of things hoped for) and the evidence (the proof that God is, the manifestation of God’s power, the truth) of things not seen. Understanding the power of the TongueCopyright vEsti24 According to scripture, Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV) 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Knowing the elements of faith is Key to having what you pray for. What you are praying for will not come to manifestation just by you praying. You must believe when you pray that you already have the things that you have prayed for. According to scripture, Mark 11:20-24 (NKJV) 20 Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. 21 And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.” 22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. The sum of what you have right now is the result of your mouth. According to scripture, Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV) 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. You have the power with your mouth to either curse a thing or bless a thing. Typically, negative information is repeated more than something that is good. However, when something is good or a blessing, you seldom hear anyone mention it. Speak words that are in Faith- Words of faith are not positive words. Positive words are good, but they will not get you the results of faith. For example, positive words will say,” I am getting better, I am doing well. ” Words of faith will say, “By His stripes, I am already healed!” According to scripture, Psalm 115:14 (NKJV) 14 May the LORD give you increase more and more, You and your children. 15 May you be blessed by the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. Say, “I got that!” According to scripture, John 10:10 (NKJV) 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. Say, “I got that!” Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV) 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Say, “I got that!” Why? Because God says you have a future, God says you have a hope. So get yourself up and begin to say what God says. You are an overcomer, you always triumph, you are never defeated, and you win every time! If you keep the words in your mind, in your thoughts, but never say it – you have no power. However, when you say it (declare it) out of your mouth, you give power to it. Declare your victory today. Whom the Lord have set free, is free indeed! You can come out of poverty You can come out of depression You can come out of lack So what do you want? The word of God must be mixed with faith! According to scripture, Proverbs 10:19-21 (NKJV) 19 In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But The word of God must be mixed with faith! According to scripture, Proverbs 10:19-21 (NKJV) 19 In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise. 20 The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; The heart of the wicked is worth little. 21 The lips of the righteous feed many, But fools die for lack of wisdom. Either you will command your future or you will command your demise. Understand you will not be exempt from trials, you will not be exempt from situations coming up in your life. Nevertheless, understand this, you have everything you need to overcome every circumstance and every situation. The power is in your mouth and you can declare your future now; Faith is now! According to scripture, Hebrews 11:1-3 (NKJV) 1 Now Faith is the substance (the manifestation, the title deed, the realization) of things hoped for and the evidence (the proof that God is, the manifestation of God’s power, the truth of God’s word) of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. (For by Faith, you can obtain a good testimony!) 3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. (By faith understand, your world can be framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen are not made of things which are visible, but are made by the evidence of Faith – God!)
