November 30, 2013 Dear Friends, Family, and Colleagues, Happy Thanksgiving Weekend to you and yours! We are thankful that we get to work together on Amigos Alados, which you probably know is the project we started to link classrooms in California and Mexico. As penpals, Amigos Alados students study and communicate about the migratory songbirds they share. Amigos Alados is six years old now, and we’ve grown. This year we are serving 22 classrooms – 600+ students in California’s Bay Area and in Jalisco, Mexico. Since the email fundraiser we conducted about five years ago, which raised about $400, we have funded the project mostly from our own private bank accounts and countless volunteer hours. Please consider making a year-end, tax-deductible donation to support our efforts. We welcome anything – from $5 to $500! Your generous gift will help children here and in Mexico to develop a life-long attitude of respect for each other, for migratory birds, and for the environment. You can give through PayPal (go to amigosalados.org/Donations.html) or by sending a check to: Amigos Alados c/o MarinLink 5800 Northgate Mall, Suite 250 San Rafael, CA 94903 Please visit and “like” us on Facebook.
