Now I am not a lawyer, but would like to know the legal side of this. Is it legal for a Politician/lawmaker lie to their constituents about what is in a bill to get the support to get it passed? Now, I know it is morally and ethically wrong, but are there any legal ramifications that come along with lying to the public to get a bill passed? I am just asking because I would think that of all the people in the nation our Politicians and Lawmakers would be held to a certain standard of law when it comes to things like this...I am just curious if there are laws against this...and if not...why not?
