Now here this artist, No matter what anyone is telling you or trying to sell you, this is why doing shows and performing is good. First of all the average fan or supporter from the start are people that know you, are friends with you, are supportive of any and everything you would do, even if you wanted to have a lemonade stand you know there are some people that will actually sit out there with you and pour the lemonade right along with you, but then there is the fan that doesnt know they are a fan yet. They are the ones that come out to shows just because they love new music, or they might be out supporting that person from the prior analogy. But they need to see you, learn you, follow you and add to your fan based, that more than likely will not listen to people that hear your mixtapes or songs you release daily or weekly, so in order to truly get and gain a buzz you have to be seen physically because everyone is dropping music but not everyone is performing. Secondly, Performing helps you gain confidence, try out your new material on people, learn breath control, helps you learn to move around and become a stronger more controlled performing in whatever it is you do. Also it gives you more of a open invitation to talk to people, network with people, build and connect with people because they just seen your product rather than you telling them about it with a mixtape and a couple words. As a business you want NOW clients, not maybe or hopefully clients and Physically seeing someone or a item youd be interested in is better, similar to SEEING a pair of pants, shirt, sneakers car, home or whatever its better than HEARING about it. Third, In order to truly get your music out there and get big exposure thru just having music you have to have a big budget. What does a big budget do you ask? A Big budget allows you to talk to radio stations, have a strong street team that will walk around to all the mom and pop stores, as well as be on South Beach, SawGrass Mall, Dolphin Mall and any other mall in your area, passing out your flyer, stickers, CDs, t shirts or whatever. So to me that us why it is extremely important to perform and stay consistent with your performances because people know you, they see you, thy follow you and they tell more people about the night they saw you, or chilled with you when you got off stage, or something you said on stage. Even if you arent the greatest performer, believe me Jordan wasnt always Jordan he had to practice, get embarrassed, booed, miss shots, turn the ball over and everything else it took to make him the Greatest. PERFORMING IS VERY IMPORTANT DONT LET ANYONE TELL YOU DIFFERENT. 90% of your income s an artist comes from LIVE SHOWS, and the better the show, the more tickets will be bought and the more you will be booked.
