Now that our Engine Questionnaire has closed and we have had time to digest the information we have received, I thought we would just keep everyone updated as to where we are up to with this item. We had just under 90 surveys returned to us, so thank you everyone you has contributed and given us their feedback. 81% of respondents were in favour of the 350 Crate engine option , with 83% in favour of keeping the 2 barrel carby, 80% in favour of phasing in alongside the existing 253 engine, with 76% not in favour of 2 x separate pointscores. 63% in favour of pump fuel option, 63% not in favour of a name change and 66% of people said it wouldnt effect their desire in competing in AMCA. So at AMCA we believe that we are on the right path to introduce the Chev CT350 Crate option, however as most people suggested in their feedback , it is very important as to how we introduce the engine alongside the existing 253. We will spend the next few weeks working on the strategy to do this and draft the rules around the new engine option etc and hopefully have some announcements in early to mid January about the way forward for this exciting development for the division.
