A nurse-led program of screening for comorbidities among patients with rheumatoid arthritis resulted in a doubling of the number of diagnostic and therapeutic actions taken over a 6-month period. Note that the study confirmed that a nurse-led program of comorbidity screening is feasible but is time consuming and could represent a significant contribution for nurses in the overall health of patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
