Nyamoti Seven things we have learnt from Migori heckling incident. Presidents of superpower nations have been heckled before. Tony Bliar was once hit with rotten eggs by an angry crowd. I also remember George Bush JR ducking from a shoe missile thrown by an Iraq journalist. When such incidents happen, they happen either to show dissatisfaction or organized on a show of mighty. People of Nyanza tend to show anger in amicable manner – Rodger Gor matches- and therefore the incident should not be thrown overboard or exaggerated to mean as a manner of embarrassing the president. What is more important is the fact that led to triggering of such events. It may be as a result of many factors but what actually should we learn from it? 1. Kenya has drastically changed- no body can escape being embarrassed not even the president. 2. Nyanza people are angry either on their local or national government. Uhuru should address their concerns instead of making tough statements on gestures gimmicked from the former president Moi and moves dubbed from the old fashioned book of 47 laws of power. 3. Nyanza is still Odinga’s strong hold, he calls the shorts here- UHURUTO should use scientific approaches of politics in this hostile backyard whenever they pay a visit 4. Our judicially system is still shoddy- those involved should have been investigated and judged within 24 hours and the report released. We now depend on media for information. It shows our security structure is either in tribal age or decorticated by lack of willingness. 5. We are a biased nation. Those who condemn the incident couldn’t have rejoiced the same had it been Rao insulted by Karatina youth- that is the dirt of Kenyan politics 6. This nation is not about to change. The more we think we have changed, the more we remain the same. 7. There is a leadership vacuum in this nation. And the vacuum is in tera-miles away from being filled.
