OBITUARY OF RACHEL MOSIER 1933-2015 Rachel Mosier slipped peacefully into eternity on January 8, 2015 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital after a few years of declining health at the Woodlands Nursing Home, Muncie. Rachel Sue Smith (Mosier) was born on August 18th 1933 in the front bedroom of the Selma home of her parents John Calvin and Jeannetta May Smith. She graduated from Selma High school in 1953. Soon after she married Earl Edward Mosier of Winchester on April 2nd, 1954. Rachel worked as a bookkeeper at Ernst Greenhouse and at Ball Brothers Department Store in their early years. After they began a family she stayed home to care for the children, later becoming the Avon Lady. In the late 70’s Rachel kept books for Magic City Building Supply. She ended her working career as the book keeper for the Muncie Newspapers Federal Credit union where she was loved by all as the “company counselor”. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, taking several road trips and cruises together. More than anything Rachel loved spending time with family. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers and her loving husband, Earl Mosier. Rachel is survived by her three children Sue Ann Kirkpatrick, Jeff Mosier, John Mosier all of Delaware County, her 12 Grandchildren Ryan Kirkpatrick, Rickie Kirkpatrick, Andrew Mosier, Emily Mosier, Faith Mosier, Charisa Hart (Mosier), Josiah Mosier, Micah Mosier, Stephen Mosier, Maria Mosier, Annessa Mosier, Kyle Mosier, and 10 great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Meeks Mortuary 415 E. Washington Street, Muncie IN on Monday January 12th at 12 noon : committal following at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and Friends may gather to share and remember from 2:00pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday January 11th at Meeks Washington Street Chapel. Online condolences may be directed to the family at meeksmortuary.
