ODDITIES OF THE NIGERIAN CONTRAPTION Whilst The saint, Mr. Attahiru Jega, Chairman of our Independent National Election Commission {INEC} will gleefully announce to Nigerians and whosoever cares to listen, that he has successfully distributed over 90% of the Permanent Voters Cards {PVCs} to be used for the February 2015 general elections in Bornu and Yobe States, the reality on ground is that the Islamist terrorist group, Boko Haram, controls over 90% of the territories of these two States. The wonder now is: Did BH assist saint; Jega in this arduous task of PVC distribution? Whilst their State capitals are besieged by Boko Haram and most of their constituting Local Government Areas are under the control of BH - which means no government projects or expenditures whatsoever ought to be going on in the BH controlled areas, the Governors Kashim Shettima {Bornu} and Ibrahim Geida {Yobe} and their associates, shamelessly and probably criminally also, send their Commissioners of Finance to attend the monthly Federal Revenue Allocation Committee meeting to take their respective States share of the national booty. Pray, what are these funds actually used for? To sponsor terror? The inherent fraud is stifling. Solution: Holistic restructuring and renegotiation of the Nigerian contraption!
