OHIO RIVER CLOSED TO COMMERCIAL AND RECREATIONAL WATERCRAFT AT EKPC POWER PLANT The Ohio River will be closed to all commercial and recreational watercraft on Tuesday, July 29, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from mile markers 4.12 to 4.13 in the vicinity of East Kentucky Power Spurlock Station and Inland Container facility, west of Maysville. EKPC and Air2 have obtained a permit to close the river for the installation of visibility spheres on the power lines crossing the river at the Spurlock Station area. There will be patrol boats on the river to keep watercraft out of the restricted area until installation of the spheres is completed.
