OK. Let the old Woman ask a question.... Why has it been 8, EIGHT years since our teachers have received A pay raise from the Central School System? They have received a $1600 stipend from the state this year but their insurance rate also went up $100 per month. I am not taking anything away from Mr. Faulk, but he has had 2 raises and allowances for house and cell phones last year and this year for raising our state rating. Now, I may be old fashioned, and a little antiquated in my thinking, but I do believe the Men and Women standing in those classrooms are the reasons those rankings improved. Not the superintendent nor the school board. And there was a statement in the Advocate that I gleaned this info from that also stated that there is a one million dollar surplus in the coffers. Is it me? Or is this situation totally out of whack. Dont get me wrong, I know we all have some precious little darlins, but I can tell you straight up there is not enough money in the world fir me to stay 6-8 hours in a room with 20-25 of em... NOW why are we not paying our teachers??? Would LOVE to hear from our school board. 😂
