OK, So I am going to chime in on all the latest RACIAL news, and events, at the risk of being hated and defamed. I have said this before, and I will say it again....Until you take color OUT of the picture, you will NEVER be rid of racism. Regardless of your position, the very second you mention something being about color you have propagated racism. Even if you are claiming to be a victim of it, you are indirectly enabling its continued existence. Every race has its good, bad, and ugly...because we are ALL human beings. As long as there are organizations that promote racial differences under the guise of trying to root out racial inequality, racism will thrive in ANY society. Regardless of the origin and original intent of that organization, the end result is that racism is enabled. Having said that, it is just as dangerous to have a KKK, as it is to have an NAACP. As long as we are trying to separate ourselves, and accentuate racial differences, it will be IMPOSSIBLE to create equality. In the very creation of such organizations, you have caused racial differentiation. So, until we ALL stand against the different entities that embrace and promote a separation because of color, or celebration of achievement because of color, you will NEVER end racism. The one begets the other, and vise-versa. It really isnt a rocket science. I love the Olympics, because it is still one of the LEAST racially tainted, world-wide event we still have. Please note that I said one of the LEAST racially tainted. I know that certain groups were VERY instrumental in helping to achieve the level of equality we now have in this country; however, the fact still remains, as long as we believe that we have to have those groups (whether you think they are good, or bad), we are still living in a world that promotes racial separation and distinction. If it is hateful to say that someone is inferior because of color, it is JUST as hateful to say that someone should be recognized, and awarded due to color, because it infers that others are not worthy, and/or dont qualify for that recognition based soley on COLOR. We should love and co-exist with each other without regard for race, or creed. We may not agree politically, religiously, or even culturally, but disagreeing does not justify hatred, repression, violence, and/or murder....EVER. When we have become a society that can say things like, Our sons cant go out and rob a convenience store without us being worried about them being shot and killed (paraphrased). THAT previous statement has NOTHING to do with race, and EVERYTHING to do with a LACK of MORAL FIBER. If you rob ANY store, bank, amored truck, etc., the expectation of NOT be treated as a violent criminal is ABSURD!!!! The MINUTE that we tolerate that as an acceptable method of generating income, then the guy with the biggest gun wins, and law and order are gone. We should be addressing the moral issues we have in this country rather than being distracted by something so meaningless as skin color.
