OK......flame suit on.....Im going to actually think as I post because there are several different angles.....#1 there were 3 horses fall in the first drag...1 of which tripped BEFOREEE even getting to the barrel.....ground issue? probably not....1 girl fell off her horse actually heading out of the arena way after the turn... (but definitely glad shes ok) #2 yes, we are aware that it was shifty...thus the reason the tractors/everyone involved did their extreme best to fix the ground.....#3 as always, somebody has to realize if a horse does not rate and running wide open in a big pen, the chances of ground shifting is even better...ground/improper position can be a not so good mix....(isnt that kinda what we talked about Dacota?) Ive been on those kind of horses! Nottt fun LOL I was only announcing--did not run only due to the fact that I didnt know if I would have relief or not...there were not that many horses fall, yes, a lot slipped....and they will slip in any pen, any ground, any condition. Big arena, big pattern, different conditions and no, it may or may not be your set up....however.....on the other side of that--before you bash or degrade here publicly about very nice people that worked their tail off today for free might I add, think about the hard work, the volunteers and most off THE REASON why we came today--to share the word of God......if people can think back far enough, Marshall used to be the WORST place to run...but thanks to Byron Ford (HES THE MAN) he got it handled and yes, you can bank on that....I just get frustrated from a producer side (even tho I just announced today) because as I told a friend of mine....people are going to complain enough about every arena they will eventually make it to where no one can have anything and still make it worth their time and effort....yessssss, the arena got better...the more we drug, the big drags etc...but in the end we did not have 5+ horses actually go down....trust me....I got a great view of all 150 runners.....we very much appreciate everyones support today, we handled those that wanted to draw out with class and refunded money that you dont normally get back at a barrel race.....they do everything they can!!!!!! So, flame suit off....Im heading to the restroom for the first time today and get me a bite to eat finally!!!! TOP NOTCH PEOPLE GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND!!!!!!!
