OK i am bad and wasteful. Hotter than the side rooms of purgatory here and I am not cooking. Went to Publix and bought some chicken. went out and picked a couple of tomatoes and cucumbers chopped them up .AND SUPPER IS READY. Also bought some frozen peaches and sprite and am going to try the peach cobbler that I posted a while ago. Has to cool off some first though . Shame I am to old to run around naked in the house. May get down to just undies before long though. It is so darn humid it is awful. Figured out why the screen was shrinking away on me and fixed it You know me cant leave anything alone. Have to mull it over a while and then start digging. Think Jim and family are at Paulies Island. At least LE and the girls are, saw a post from them there. Have to watch the gas use so dont see them often. Have to go to the North Atlanta Trade Center tomorrow for bird food at the bird show, So much cheaper there . I can buy 25 lbs of a good mix there for 20.00 dollars and it lasts 2-3 months. I like to look at the babies anyhow, Love the babies but just cant have the critters in the volume I use to have , when I think back to the days when I would have 3 dogs 8-10 cats Chickens , 400 birds and the garden as well as working full time and helping at the shop every day I get tired just thinking about it. I tried everything I could think of to make a buck, even made bird toys and playgrounds. They were so easy to make and sold them at the bird shows where I took my handfed babies. Kids make fun of me because I am such a packrat but so many of the bird toys I made were made from odds and ends and scraps LOL. I can remember my mom saying so often waste not want not, You never know when you might need it. I sure miss her and dad. They were such sensible wholesome people. Well I have rambled on long enough Must get in my spare room and sort books I have about a 1000 paperbacks and need to weed out a few. Not a lot though because I am one of those who will go back next year and read favorites again. Have a good weekend Carol
