Obama spoke before the American Legion Tuesday in a 35 minute speech. His reception, at best, was subdued. I was surprised he was getting any applause from some of his statements. One particular part of the speech I found very telling was when he admitted there were problems at the VA (when havent there been?). He announces, in his normal cavalier way, that he has made 19 executive actions to help address these issues. To this he received a spattering of applause. Its no wonder as the American people, especially the vets who volunteer to fight for our country (a Republic), dont want a President riding shotgun over a government. He doesnt get it; or worse he doesnt care. We find out later from a retired United States Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel who was in the room that Mr. Obama had his supporters in the front row trying to generate applause. Most (but honestly not all) of the time the Legionnaires sat on their hands. Smoke and mirrors. You can easily see Mr. Obama wasnt happy with the reception he was getting. I wonder how hell try to put the screws to the Legionnaires for their non compliance...
