October 17th wouldve been my grandmothers 95th birthday. While my mother worked, it was my grandmother who let me watch Bugs Bunny until it was time to walk to kindergarten; she cooked home made french fries for us at lunch; she taught me how stand on a chair and dial 0 on our walk-mounted rotary phone (long before 911 existed) in cases of emergency; she taught me the Lords prayer...and the Lords ways; as a teen, she told that I would be a preacher someday; and as I began my career as a full-time pastor, she placed my first clergy robe on me. Its been 18 years since her promotion and I still feel her presence with me. She warned me to never become arrogant or forgetful of my Divine Source~I hope I am making her proud. #LillianEvans #PrayingGrandmasRock
