October 2, 2013 Girl Friend, What is love? Everybody is looking for it? You say you love your dog, your significant other, warm weather, a filet-mignon, whatever! But do you really grasp its true meaning? It is not a feeling, but a command! According to God, it is an understanding that He first loved you so that you could love people, regardless of their gender, race, religion, age, or socio-economic stand; otherwise it would be one that is self-serving and self-seeking! He did this by sending Jesus to this planet to show you the way it is done. He walked in total compassion, kindness, and forgiveness. He is your role model. You are responsible for your conduct and attitude in the way you treat others. Be an example of light in this dark selfish society! Who knows, you may be the ray of sunshine in someone’s life today! Scriptures 1 John 3:18 ESV Let us not love in word or talk, but in deed and in truth. 1 John 4:16 ESV So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God. James 2:8-9 ESV If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well.
