Of course liberal intellectuals dont have much clout or representation in the South, whether they are right or wrong. Just in case they might know what they are talking about, to be heard by their redneck friends and neighbors, should they do one of the following? 1) Mind their manners, speak if spoken to. 2) Talk softly and kindly, with due respect for their small place, 3) Dont be preachy and dont correct anybody but their own in public, 4) Or talk to people like they get talked, meet aggression with counter-aggression, and stand up for what is true.
