Of course the accusations of man-hating are in part based on truth. A shame, but a combination of counter-productive feminists hijacking the term to make derogatory remarks about men and men who feel threatened exaggerating that has tainted the idea of feminism somewhat. I guess it doesnt help that the word itself doesnt sound like it promotes equality, which makes it an easy target. What feminism and the fight for equality need are more eloquent, passionate individuals, especially celebrities like Emma Watson, who can call attention to the true nature of the cause and why it is important. Im seeing this video crop up a lot on my newsfeed and I think that is a good start. I dont often feel inspired by videos on Youtube (I should watch less wrestling on there perhaps :p ) but I agree so strongly with what she said (what sensible individual wouldnt) that Im going to share the video and though I always advocate equality this makes me want to be more pro-active in that.
