Officiated at the closing ceremony of the Global Young Scientists Summit (GYSS) 2015 this afternoon. As we celebrate Singapore’s 50th birthday this year, GYSS provides a most appropriate platform for us to reflect on how Science and Technology has and will continue to contribute to Singapore’s progress and development. At 50 years old, Singapore is still young and will continue to face many challenges ahead. But I am confident that through the pursuit of knowledge and innovation and by staying open to new ideas, we can continue to create new opportunities for ourselves in the years to come. TT
