Oh!The healing power of prayer. God has answered your prayers and Letha is gaining strength daily. I not only watched as she grew stronger, but I felt the very power of your prayers. Thank you again for all your prayers and words of support and encouragement. As a strong believer in the sovereignty of God, luck is not in my vocabulary. God works all things after the counsel of His own will. I dont always understand His ways, but I trust that He cant make a mistake. Someday, as the song goes, He will make it plain to me. While siting in the bleachers at Bentonville Friday night, a lady seated next to me said, Sir, do you have some playing tonight? I replied, No man, but one of my granddaughters is a senior maid and another granddaughter is playing in the band. Moreover, I just received a text from my daughter in Vilonia that one of my grandsons just returned the opening kickoff eighty yards for a touchdown. The lady said, Wow, you need to play the lottery. I replied, No chance. After all that my grandchildren have done tonight, I would say the law of average is against me. Ha! And besides that, I dont gamble. I am proud of all my grandchildren and their accomplishments. But greater than all of that is the fact that all of them love the Lord Jesus and want to live for Him. No, luck is not in my vocabulary. We should teach our children, and model for them, to be godly and live for Christ. They will have great moments like this past week, but there will be dark days for them. The dark days will test their metal and then they will depend on Gods grace.
