Ojogho Urges Staff To Sustain Govt’s Policy By Scholar Ossai The Commissioner, Bureau for Special Duties, Pastor Powell Tos Ojogho has called on staff of the Bureau to work towards the sustained actualisation of the development policy of the state government. Ojogho made the call yesterday while formally taking over the mantle of leadership in the Bureau from his predecessor, Dr. Tony Nwaka who was recently redeployed from the Bureau to the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education in a minor cabinet reshuffle by the state government. He urged management and staff of the Bureau who have useful suggestions that could lead to the speedy actualisation of the policies and programmes of the state government to come forward with such, adding that with their (management and staff) sustained cooperation, the Bureau would build on the legacies of his predecessor in meeting its statutory responsibilities. While assuring the management and staff that his tenure would inspire sustainable growth and development, Ojogho said that he would adopt an open door policy of administration where everybody would be carried along. Earlier, Nwaka, who congratulated Ojogho on his appointment into the Delta State Executive Council, said that he was coming in at a time when the Bureau would be too busy attending to Christian pilgrims preparing to travel to the holy land. He, therefore, urged management and staff of the Bureau to extend the same level of cooperation that was accorded him during his tenure, to his successor. Nwaka further said that for every disaster that happened in the state, especially the 2012 flood disaster, the Bureau for Special Duties was able to salvage the situation due to the commitment and support of the staff.
