Ok. Heres my day so far. Woke up to the big black dog refusing treats. WTF. She did, however, drink a ton of water and then proceed to vomit said water (and assorted bits and pieces) all over the living room, not once, but twice. Ok. Got that under control. Small beagle has been coughing and sneezing for the past few days. No big deal. Dont know how she could get a dog cold, doesnt come in contact with other dogs. Today she begins vomiting yellow stuff. Yay! Two vomiting dogs. Second beagle, being a large busy body, is currently following her sister around, sniffing her sisters ass, and then licking up whatever vomit she can find. Clarification....there is no vomit near her sisters ass. Thats just a normal dog thing. Ok. Got that under control....but not really. I just ignore Pickle and dont let her lick my face. I would advise that you not let Pickle kiss you....EVER. Currently she is outside with her sister, in case there is any more vomiting, and Im pretty sure she will eat some shit whilst outside. Shes the sweetest and grossest beagle EVER. And then the sprinkles on the cake....cause cats HATE to be left out of a good time. I got the lovliest roses for my birthday! Thats a big deal. I ADORE ROSES. So I put them up on a little bookcase near my bed, but basically inaccessible by paws. Someone (pretty sure it is the old grumpy tortoise shell cat) found a way to nibble upon the delicate greenery and then proceeded to march around the house quickly vomiting up leaf particles. In an effort to perform this heroic feat, she knocked over the roses onto my alarm clock and soaked my slippers. Yes, the good slippers I splurged on. Yes, the slippers that stepped in cat shit two days in a row. Yes, we still have all three cats. No, I dont know why. I am sure that this is what I get for having such a wonderful birthday. A gentle reminder that life goes on, the party really does end, and its right back to the daily shit and vomit festival that is the life of someone who lives with six animals. I have never ONCE......ok. Im not going to finish that statement. Just know that I am well aware of my blessings. I have many. I can name six of them right now....even if I do have to call Stanley Steemer next week : )
