Ok I cant promise tonight will be anything like last night because NL is just a different style of baseball than AL and most NL post season teams are more evenly balanced pitching wise so while you wont have the name brand of most AL starters you will get a highly strategic matchup tonight between the Giants and Pirates. I would argue theres more pop in these two teams bats collectively than the two teams last night....higher averages and better plate approach On the mound for the Giants is Bummy....a fan friendly pitcher throws strikes and swings the bat Volquez is a strange pick to me for tonight although hes been the best this year Liriano is a big game pitcher. But like I said the strength for these two teams will be bullpen so the real intrigue shouldnt happen until the 5th inning or later depending on the pitch counts and how bold the managers want to be. Boschy is the MLB Belichick guy knows the game and his only flaw might be that he hasnt shown one yet.... Clint Hurdle is a fiery manager leads with passion and his team follows suit so look for him and his crew to be aggressive in pitch counts and on the bases Players to watch (just to name a few) Giants Buster Posey (best all around player in the playoffs behind the plate without question) Pablo Sandoval (nickname Kung Fu Panda really athletic big guy if his bat is going it sets the tone for the entire Giants line up) Hunter Pence (multiple World Series Champion and used to the big light a defensive liability at times especially throwing but an offensive catalyst in the middle part of the line up) Pirates Josh Harrison (my NL MVP and arguably the best player on this roster can play almost anywhere and will always impact the game but its his first time in this big of a stage having a career year be interesting to see if he thrives or wanes) Andrew Mccutchen (top CF in the game the leader of this ball club but in my opinion not the best player anymore more 1b....nickname is Mcclutchen....) My dark horse impact player is Russell Martin (hes a big reason this team has thrived defensively and holds his own at the plate with a bat for the Pirates...look for him to come up big when the team needs it most of hes in that position whether its offensive or defensive) Games at 8 unfortunately on ESPN.....enjoy
