Ok Ok........so many of you have asked me for my opinion on the Tony Stewart Accident from over the weekend due to my coverage of racing, hosting race shows and announcing at tracks. My view? I have none. None that I want to share. First, I was not there, have only read what happened and only saw one, grainy video of the incident. Second, as an official announcer, it is really not my position to say whether or not a driver should be out of his car on a track regardless of the situation. And third, I wont do the bandwagon jumping that some people are doing because they hate/like Smoke. In this case, it will be up to other drivers that were there, Tonys testimony on what happened and track officials. Now.......some may say, Dan what if this were at your tracks? Seriously I would say the same thing here. Not my position to comment.......ments can hurt or help....sure will in this one.
