Ok. Putting your Facebook status as some some non sense about not giving Facebook rights to your post does nothing.. not better safe than sorry, its nonsense. You have no legal say in their policy. Those are dependent on their terms. Your say is in whether you use Facebook or not. That IS your choice. Their new policy, however, is not. I agree, I do not want to be exploited, and maybe, if there is enough outcry, or enough users stop utilizing Facebook, then something might happen, but doing something as easy as posting a mission statement with no legal binding; it is not as easy as that, but whatever makes you feel that you are talking a stand and making a difference in the world, I suppose. Those statuses are good in showing how many are against it, but are no call to action, and likely have no effect.
