Ok, So I just watched the Street Fighter live action film. What can I say. I enjoyed it. I can see were people find it bad. There were way to many sub plots to the movie. The way the movie was edited made it look like there were scenes totally cut from the film or cut short. Of all the acting in the film. Guile and his staff, outside of the Japanese Guy and his assistant, were borderline superbad. The acting for the most part from the rest of the cast was rather passable. Hell, the background characters had some good lines and even the voice announcers in the city, Military and Bisons lair were pretty damn funny or What?!?! worthy to me. The fight scenes were pretty solid. I especially would have liked to see more of the Honda Vs. Zangefe fight. That moment when they were destroying the miniture city and the giant monsters/Godzilla noises were playing while the Japanese commander and his assistant looked on was the bomb. And now down to the real meat of this facebook review. M FREAKING BISON!!!!! I can see why i have seen so many comments on how Raúl Juliá was one of, if not the best part of the film. He played one of the best mad warlords I have ever seen. The only other acceptable ways he could have went were Role-playing as Loki mad (Which I have done) or be in a parody of a Mad Scientist movie. His lines were pretty damn fun to listen to. In fact the way he carried himself and the way he set up his operations were, to me, impressive. I mean yeah it was hammy as all hell. But his hammy-ness was also low key at the same time. Like he was switching between actual intimidation and hammy on a wire. Which plays into the fact that everyone was calling him mad. He literally played a crazy ass warlord and it was solid in my opinion. Now I would say something about his 2 deaths being anti-climatic while his words were on the spot awesome...but that ending were he still came out of it alive was enough for me to not really care. Though the fact that Raúl Juliá did die sort of put a stop to a recall of his role. Cause frankly, I would watch more of M.Bison anyday. Even though it might be considered a bad performance...it is a performance that would be hard to beat. Which is both amazing and slightly scary. On super side note...No actual Street Fighter died I belive. I mean yeah we do not see vaga, blanca and stretchy arm man at the vary end, but considering that Bison Died twice and had a building fall on him. I do not think they died. Overall, I enjoyed the film. So...until next time...or when I finish Garden Of Sinners lol.
