Ok all of my facebook friends and family...I have a dilemma... I recently applied for a fence for my daycare center. The rule says that you can only have a 3 foot fence around the front of a property, which is the kids play area...my state rules require at least a 4 foot and I requested 6 foot. I feel that 6 foot is a secure height to ensure the safety of the children and staff and also deter thieves from walking off with our equipment (which has already happened twice). The city approved my request...but only at 5 foot (mind you, I am 51). Here is my poll: do I appeal? The reason I was given is that the decision makers do not want my place to resemble the food bank...which has a 6 foot fence with barbed wire at the top...I agree with not looking like a prison compound...but the elementary school, kitty corner from me, has a 12 foot fence....am I being unreasonable asking for an appeal? On a side note....I would have to wait a month longer...
