Ok, as promised, here is my poem in recognition of Founders day: (note that the creature on the ACS coat of arms is a Wyvern, so...yeah...) ...ACS Forever... The Wyvern I. Red Oh til’ twelfth begone, is all forms of man! The fiery grips of brimstone disintegrate In the ardent fields of sorrow where expectation And expectancy once lay, lofty, as to singe blight When from but ashes and echoed orison The Wyvern was birthed in flesh and bone. Doomed are the kingdoms of ages For monsters do not die. II. Blue It was written once, in decaying books of wisdom That blood and bone were always to be equilibrated For what such horror of life will one then be To be a creature born of Dionysian blood And of Hadean bone. It was long told by sanguine lips and scarlet tongue That body in savage disarray is the only sacrilege A nightmare’s offspring, blood-soaked sword of The red sun, and harbinger of imperial ruination. Thousands of scales on my back cringe At the memory of a thousand flaming arrows. It was read once, in blackened, torn pages That a traitor is the man who abandons his prison on Earth To soar as Daedelus, for even noblemen are condemned to soil. And that wings and ascendancy of the skies are merely conception, as invisible as dust. But even the strongest fire cannot extinguish The rutilant desire to rip apart my bones without Blood staining my tainted claws. Only misery can meet with the one Who is lost in his own body. I cannot break my own bones, neither can they. It shall be my prison forever, this skeleton, For monsters do not die. III. Gold Perhaps I should not be accepting of the fractures that Compose my being. Many a suit of armour wearing a man Have stained my claws with their own diluted blood. Avoid me, For I have the strength of a thousand men And my claws bare the markings of Ten thousand battles won. Revere me, For I possess the indomitable will of a lion, The patience of the waters And the wisdom of the high eagle. Envy me, For I am the Empire of undying glory Led by a force beyond the view Of the bravest and strongest warrior. Fear me, For I am the Wyvern, And my reign shall be unceasing, For monsters do not die.
