Ok guys want some opinions on the situation as Im unsure if its worth spending the money on a De or weather to buy a DET but then I dont really know the cond of the motor. Ive got 2 Sr20de motors here and was looking to build 1 out of the 2 but still require a fair list of parts The bad parts that need replacing: -rockers -cams -piston rings -main bearings -rod bearings -head gasket -head studs (unless people have re used then ok in the past) The goods: - block (still require a hone) - crank (still requires linishing) - piston s13 high comp (prefer hi comp for response but then there going to be weaker) -DET rods I want a reliable motor as its getting hard to keep finding sr20des cheap to just throw back in when I pop one. Power aim: would like 240kw on e85 Ive built a few motors in my time but never a sr20 and finding the right clearance specs is the info im lacking Opinions and options?
