Ok here goes, just finished watching the debate. Put aside the shite on Pandas, Space ships, and driving on the right side of the road, are we any the wiser? NO!! Both gave very passionate arguments, no one is doubting that Alistair Darling is proud to be Scottish, No one Mr.Salmon is doubting that Scotland can become a successful independent country, but at what cost?? Mr.Salmon doesnt have a plan B on the currency, hes determined that we are keeping the pound, but how much will it cost Scotland to keep the pound if the Bank of England is setting the interest rates? How are we going to pay for free student collage fees and free prescriptions, and dont forget free nursery place for all children? Oil cant pay for all these things, Norway was mention by Mr.Salmon a few times what works for one country doesnt mean it will work for Scotland, Alistair Darling missed a big opportunity by NOT telling us what powers Scotland would have if the stayed as part of the UK, I thought both men had missed the opportunity to give some straight answers, but thats why they are politicians they bamboozle you with a pile of rubbish instead of actually giving you a straight answer that people can understand, hopefully the next debate will be an improvement and we will actually get some straight answers so we can decide on how & who should be running our country.
