Ok, so I promised a review this weekend on this and here it is. MY opinion on it was it wasnt terrible. I know a lot of you are gonna say That movie f-ing sucked so bad or I heard that movie sucked! Well hear me out before you go screaming at me for my opinion. I tend to try and shy away from other peoples opinions on movies because Ive learned that everyone views them differently and a lot of people are influenced by what their friends say about something further corrupting their own opinions. I had heard others say that they didnt like this movie but I try and go in with an open mind. There have been many MANY movies I have watched that others said sucked but I have enjoyed or at least found a few redeeming qualities about making it not so bad. So when I went and saw this in the theater I tried to think positive and just enjoy it for what it was. I usually give movies at least 10 minutes to give me some reason, any reason, to want to keep watching. This movie does move a bit slowly which I understand bothered some people. I get why it had that pace tho I wasnt really a fan of it and wished it moved a little faster. It was trying to build some kind of relationship between you and the main characters be it good or bad. It was also used to build a gradual tension throughout the film. I get that, and in some places it was annoying and in others it worked. The storyline felt like it was a little rushed and the bases was a bit hokey and played out but it did have a few small jump moments that were unexpected. There were a couple fairly predictable parts where you were thinking That guy is totally in on it but others where you had no idea what was gonna happen. Im not claiming this movie was a masterpiece and the scariest movie out there, but it isnt bad for a random horror movie to watch for shits and giggles. My rating for this would be a 3 out of 5. Just try and watch it without preconceptions.
